ID'd WWII DAT & Ferrying Command Pilot/Instructor Group: RARE Group to a DAT (DARR AERO TECH, Inc. in Albany GA.) Civilian Contract Instructor, that joined the AAF during the war. Examples of the DAT wing are typically found with the "INSTRUCTOR" Bar on top (See Wing Page for Original Example), but this has an unusual variation with the engraved "COMMANDER" title. The group includes the Wings, Patches, and Insignia shown. The ID'd Book is a Flight Procedure Manual dated March 1944 for the 3rd Ferrying Group-Air Transport Command training in Romulus MI. This veteran was from Chicago, and worked for United Airlines after the war. All items are in excellent condition, and all the significant winged insignia is Sterling, including the DIs. There is also an attributed Chocolate Brown tunic (not pictured) that is included with this group. (SOLD)
